“Putting People First” is my personal mission statement. I am passionate in my conviction that there is no greater public service than to help struggling fellow Floridians rebuild through personal bankruptcy, seek relief from crushing student loans, or fend off foreclosure. That there are many quiet heroes who struggle everyday to try and reach the American Dream.

Unfortunately, this is a very challenging time for so many of us, with high unemployment and sky rocketing levels of foreclosures and bankruptcies. In such an environment the system can work against those who need it most. It is an honor and a privilege to fight on behalf of everyday people. Best Regards,

Filing Bankruptcy in Orlando – A Personal Note

While my law office is committed to helping my fellow Floridian neighbors in a wide array of legal matters, the bulk of my practice is dedicated to representing consumer debtors file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.

As an Orlando Bankruptcy Attorney helping everyday people climb out of crushing debt, I have seen many different financial predicaments walk through my door. The constant through all of these is the hard working Floridians’ desire to do the right thing.

Many clients humbly admit to putting off filing bankruptcy because of shame and embarrassment. That they almost didn’t take that trip to my office, that they wanted to turn around and head home instead. That is why I feel it my duty as a bankruptcy attorney here in Central Florida to address the issue of bankruptcy as a moral failing.

Filing bankruptcy is not something people try “to get away with.” Filing Bankruptcy is not a sign of moral degeneracy, instead it is a LEGAL AND LAWFUL proceeding to help everyday people within our society handle the curveballs life has thrown that they just can’t hit. Secondly, filing Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy is not a way to “cheat” your creditors. The reason lending institutions exist in the first place is to provide funds that are inherently at risk of not being paid back. If there was no risk to lending money there would be no need for the institutions in the first place.
